Coloring Eggs and Flash Light Easter Egg Hunt

"Coloring Easter Eggs!"

I take an egg
All shiny white

And then I dip
It out of sight.

I leave it there
Within the cup

Then after a minute
I pick it up.

 And oh!
It's a lovely
Shade of green!

The prettiest Easter egg
I've ever seen.

Mom and Carson as "Bunnies" I have photos of all boys but I promised that photo would not end up on Facebook or our Blog

On the Saturday before Easter, I had plans to as usual color eggs with the boys, and then we were planning on also going to our church for a Easter service and Flash Light Egg Hunt.

The Egg Coloring fun ran a little over.....plus little Carson decided the "drink" the Blue Egg Dye, so we decided to attend normal Easter morning church service and go forward with our very own BLUE Egg and head to the Flash Light Egg Hunt.

Forgive me on the Bomb of Egg Decorating Photos.........

The Boys waiting for the Flash Light Egg Hunt Instructions. The grounds were a little wet so Carson got to actually wear his little pirate rain boots out.

This Egg Hunt was different for Carson- When he and all the other children his age starting running he just kinda stopped and stared for a while.

He looks like he is thinking "why are they in such a hurry!"

Mr. Peyton is growing up!

Peyton's group is next.......this is actually the oldest age for this hunt. Makes me sad that my Peyton is getting so bid. The great thing however for the bigger boys is that I spaced Carson out so far behind them that they will have the excuse to Egg Hunt and Trick or Treat for years to come as Carson's helper.

My Sweet Peyton didn't find the "GOLD" Egg but he still gets candy!

Egg Hunting Fun!

I've always loved Egg Hunts......Carson is at that cute cute age for Egg Hunting. Bryan said that if Carson didn't figure out Egg Hunting that he would hide eggs for him in our backyard when we got back home.

I decided kinda last minute to take Carson to Clinard Farms......a very short distance from our house. I was not quite sure what to expect..... I have taken the older boys to Egg Hunts that were huge and very crowded.

I was pleasantly surprised, not too crowded and a very nice group of people organizing it.

I have given Carson instructions, he does not seam like he quite understands........but when the buzzer rings and I say GO FIND EGGS! He did just that! At his own little pace he filled his basket up with Easter Eggs!!

He had one area all to himself so he was able to take his time and enjoy his day of  finding Eggs.

Carson especially loved it when I showed him there were treats inside the Eggs.......I think that was his FAVORITE part!!

After the Egg Hunt, we tried the bounce house.......

Saw from a good distance that crazy looking Easter Bunny.......

And had fun petting and feeding the farm animals.

They also served cotton candy......Carson just rubbed it on his face, never figured out that he should eat it, which was a win win for me my child didn't get pumped up on sugar but yet I could eat the cotton candy myself:)

Carson is ready to head home and show the big brothers his special Eggs!!

When we arrived home, we all were in EGG Hunting mode. The big boys were totally game with me hiding eggs for them.

Carson gets so serious and starts opening the Eggs, I felt so bad as there were no treats in the eggs, he didn't understand that these were just our eggs and we were hiding for fun.

Peyton is helping me match up the eggs after Carson looked inside for treats.

It was a beautiful day for lots of Egg Hunting!!

Spring Break Week & Papa P's 60th

Well 2 whole months have passed since I posted last.........As I was going thru my photos I had a lot of SNOW photos. I don't think I have ever taken as many winter weather photos since having my own children.

The Week of the boys spring break I took several days off so I could hang with them some.

On Wednesday of that week we took a couple neighborhood friends to a local park. There is a little creek there that sparks the interest of every kid who visits in warm weather.

Biggest Brother Landon is always game for helping mom out with Carson

Even cramming himself down a narrow slide.......we all laughed so hard there was almost no room for Carson when Landon came down.

And Peyton was in the water so Carson wanted to stay close to him

That evening Papa P was coming down to our house to celebrate his 60th Birthday with us!! We took him out to dinner then had cake and a special 60th Birthday Gift waiting for him

He really enjoys Racing, has a brother who still races dirt track, so what do you buy for a parent who needs nothing and can buy what he wants for himself within reason?......so we purchased him a Ride Along with Charlotte Motor Speedway.......all he has to do is put himself on their schedule when he is ready. He seamed to be excited..........it will be fun to see what he has to say when he goes and travels around the track at speeds of 160+ mph........

The next Morning Myself, Peyt and Carson decided to go to the Science Center

These guys are too cute!! They just sit and look at you. They remind me of my mom, she used to enjoy watching Animal Planet's Merecat Mountain.

Carson thought they were pretty cute as well!!

The Penguins were quite the treat. We loved watching them Swim and especially loved it when it was feeding time.

We enjoyed out day together and afterward ran by McDonalds for an ice cream treat before heading him.

On Friday we grabbed one of Landon's friends and headed to Carrowinds to take advantage of our yearly passes.

No Snow Photos for a while Happy Spring!!!
