Pre Christmas Fun

Santa 2014

Our Church has a breakfast with Santa. Last year Carson screamed his head off! This year I was not sure how his visit with the big man would go. Big brothers didn't want to come, so Bryan and I took Carson to have some breakfast and visit Santa.

He sat, ate his breakfast and colored until his name was called. There was a couple of children ahead of him and I whispered in his ear "if you sit on Santa's lap, you get a candy cane" Carson LOVES candy!! When it was his turn, with mamas help he visited with Santa. Carson didn't say too much but did tell Santa that he wanted a dump truck for Christmas.

Carson was a very good sport, but as soon as Santa handed him his candy cane, he was done and ready to be back with his mama and daddy! I hope he gets that dump truck for Christmas! I told Carson while we were waiting that next Christmas he will have a buddy to tag along with him and he can show him/her the ropes!

The weekend of Bryan's Birthday we decided to make a trip to Charlotte. We wanted to do several things: Look at a SUV for Bryan that he saw online, visit Ginger Bread Lane, and go look at some area Christmas Lights. We did end up getting the SUV, that process didn't take long at all! Next stop was to Ginger Bread Lane.
Best of all this was FREE! You walk thru all the contest entries and the entries are just amazing. We had not done our houses yet, so it was fun getting some ideas.

Landon being a teen decided to stay at home, so I just had my Peyton & Carson for the day of fun!

Carson loves to play with our wooden soldiers at our home, so he was in aww when he say this giant fellow!

A Frozen Gingerbread house!

At each one Carson would say "I want to eat it!"

This was one of our family favorites!

Next Stop was Christmas Town USA!
We got to McAdenville pretty early, so we parked grabbed a snack and was ready to roll at 5:30 on the dot when the lights come on. We ended up sitting in stand still traffic for about 45 minutes, which was crazy since we got up to the town so early!

We finally got to go and ride thru the 1.5 mile stretch, We would like to go back but it will be on a week night.

After sitting in the car so long Peyton was thrilled to FINALLY see the lighted sign! He wanted his face in the photo!

Carson's favorites was spotting Santa & getting to be loose in the car!
It was a long fun and productive day. We finally made it home by 10:00pm Bryan and I were tired, however making family memories is totally worth it!

Christmas 2014 Photo Card Shoot

Our Christmas Cards have been mailed.....I considered not sending them this year and saving some money, however we were having photos done anyway due to the pregnancy so we combined the photo shoot.

I also found a Groupon deal.....$10 for 50 cards at Staples. I actually spent more on the postage than I did the cards. I was limited as to what designs I could choose, but I found something that worked. Definitely in the future if I send photo cards I will look for Groupon deals first, this was a big money saver!

This was a fly by the seat of my pants kinda photo shoot.....I normally have everything planned out just perfect. We just went with what was in our closets......and I knew we would be using the bridge at Old Salem. The bridge is just a neat spot in general regardless of what you are wearing.

Merry Christmas & Happy Happy New Year from our family to yours!! We hope you are enjoying the season with your families and not stressing too much over things left on your to do list!

Bryan's Birthday is today and this weekend we have some Christmas festivities to look forward to!

This was the shot we used for our family photo Christmas card! This will be the last one ever that I will be pregnant in:)

31 + Weeks

Today I am 31 Weeks 4 days Pregnant. I have hit my official 8th Month. I knew this pregnancy would go by fast, but WOW my head is spinning!!

I am sure working 4 days per week, a family, the holidays, etc etc is helping it move right along and quite fast. As far as the pregnancy I feel just fine.......I am now visiting the doctor every two weeks now. We still have no clue if this is a boy or a girl.

We had some family Christmas photos a couple weeks ago, and I went ahead and had a few pregnancy snap shots done as well. We still have no clue on names......nothing has been packed, washed, actually Carson and Babies room isn't even started yet. I told myself we would not start all of that until the Christmas tree is down after the Holidays.....at that point I will be 34 weeks so it will be crunch time. I have no clue if this baby will be on time, late or early. I have had one of each (a very early, late & on time), therefore when 34 weeks arrives, I am going to push thru as if this baby will arrive at 37 weeks like Landon did.......though I do really want a February baby:)

Now keep in mind while the photos were being taken, I had 3 kids and a silly husband making remarks and laughing......

In the above photo Landon was asking "why do you look so serious?"

In these photos Carson was having a fit to get to me.....and look how sweet when he finally did all he wanted was for mama to hold him:)

I am sure in a few weeks I won't be saying this but I am kind of hoping I am 2 days late:) We will see!!

A Little Announcement!

Well its been MONTHS since I have posted! Summer came and went and here we are at the end of October!! We have been to the beach a couple of times, have done lots of swimming, sold a car, purchased another car and so much more!

School started back for the boys in August, and time has just flown. This school quarter has been really ruff for our 5th grader! He has more work it seams than our 10th grader, I am so hoping that the 2nd quarter is much better!

This little announcement may have contributed to my lack of postings since May, in addition to summer being busy and flying by. We really didn't start making the announcement until about 20 weeks of expecting. We did tell the boys at about week 18, which Landon said that he had known for months. We are due with baby # 4 in February 2015 and we STILL don't know the gender of this little one. The results are sealed in an envelope and is hidden in our home. Sometimes we agree to tear it open but when it comes down to it, we say well maybe another day.

We have spent weeks moving the boys all around the house. Landon has the basement....Peyton has been moved to Landon's room & Carson (and baby) will be in Peyton's old room. I have never really wanted any of my kids to have to share a room, as I was an only child and never had too, but my scrapbooking area had to have a space. I am sure it will work out just fine for a couple of years for Carson and baby boy or baby girl to share a room. We are very excited about his new baby, since we didn't tell for so long, I can tell that he or she will be here fast.

My Little Mothers Day!!

Mothers Day was simple, nothing fancy a perfect kind of day. Well almost perfect, Bryan was on call this weekend and due to the heat didn't plan on going to church thinking that he would get several calls. Seams if I don't have him pushing us along, I have a hard time getting myself and 3 boys ready to leave on time. So it would have been perfect if we would have all went to church,

Bryan went to work for a little while for his weekend duties, and the boys and I just stayed around the house. We all went to a simple dinner at Kimono, then ran to the grocery store to make sure the boys had stuff to eat for lunches this week.

Its a bittersweet day!! I so miss my mom!! As I read through everyone's Facebook post I had tears in my eyes. I am so happy for those that get to share this day with their mommy's but still I deeply miss my  mother!

This poem has been circulating for a few days on Facebook and I find it so fitting for everyday but especially Mothers Day!

Suzanne Somers's photo.

And here are a few photos from my sweet day with my boys........We have so much fun!

My oldest Landon is now taller than I........it seams as if he was just Carson's age, now he is driving! I describe him as my "old man in a 15 year olds body". He is very careful with spending and even lectures me about spending on things I don't need. He is so fun to talk to and I love the fact that God sent him to me when he did.

My middle child Peyton.......isn't really what I would call a middle child, as he was my baby 7 years before we had Carson. Peyton is very laid back, when he does get upset, he gets VERY upset. He enjoys watching his daddy tinker around, and loves to go fishing with Bryan. He really enjoys my week day off of work, he really loves that I grab him at school at regular school release time. I really enjoy being with him, he is so smart and does not even realize it!

My little Carson, has brought so much joy to all of our lives. Watching Carson's big brothers dote over him is such a blessing as a mom to watch. Carson LOVES and ADORES his big brothers!! Carson is very smart and watches everything his brothers do. Carson typically falls asleep on my or Bryans chest at night and normally ends up in our bed every night. You would think by child number 3 we would have all this figured out. We don't have it all figured out and know how fast they grow. In a blink of en eye the days of him crying to sleep with us will be over.

I LOVE these fellows! They really are easy to love, so much so that I would welcome another child into our family with open arms........

Thanks Boys (Bryan too) for keeping a smile on my face and in my heart this day!!

He is Risen!!! Easter 2014

As a child we lived in the mountains, so many many times the weather was so chilly. My mom always hid eggs for me in the house the night before Easter. I'd get up Easter morning find my Easter Bunny goodies and then start finding her eggs. The funniest part was once she got up we would start counting to see how many were left hidden.....as when I was a child they were always real eggs, we didn't have plastic eggs.

I started hiding the eggs for Landon in the house (plastic ones!!!) as soon as he was old enough to understand.......Even this year the big boys started asking me "are you going to hide eggs"

I decided since they are getting big and big fast that I would also make arrangements with the Easter Bunny to hide each of their baskets as well........

Carson's Basket ready for him to find it!

Landon's Basket hidden in the powder room corner

Peyton's basket hidden in the kitchen

First thing the boys are READY to find Eggs.........they about knocked each other down just to find them. I put candy and some $$$$$ in the eggs

Looks like Peyton located his basket!!

Carson found his too!!

Landon finally found his!

So the boys got sugared up on some candy then we headed to church. The weather was a little chilly this Easter Sunday. Church was beautiful.......44 people at our church accepted Christ between the Saturday night service and the three Sunday services.

After church we headed to Cody Creek its a restaurant and a wedding venue. The funny thing about the Cody Creek is it used to be a little water park when I was a kid and its been transformed to a neat little place.

We ended our Easter Sunday with what else but a little more Egg Hunting!
