My Little Mothers Day!!

Mothers Day was simple, nothing fancy a perfect kind of day. Well almost perfect, Bryan was on call this weekend and due to the heat didn't plan on going to church thinking that he would get several calls. Seams if I don't have him pushing us along, I have a hard time getting myself and 3 boys ready to leave on time. So it would have been perfect if we would have all went to church,

Bryan went to work for a little while for his weekend duties, and the boys and I just stayed around the house. We all went to a simple dinner at Kimono, then ran to the grocery store to make sure the boys had stuff to eat for lunches this week.

Its a bittersweet day!! I so miss my mom!! As I read through everyone's Facebook post I had tears in my eyes. I am so happy for those that get to share this day with their mommy's but still I deeply miss my  mother!

This poem has been circulating for a few days on Facebook and I find it so fitting for everyday but especially Mothers Day!

And here are a few photos from my sweet day with my boys........We have so much fun!

My oldest Landon is now taller than I........it seams as if he was just Carson's age, now he is driving! I describe him as my "old man in a 15 year olds body". He is very careful with spending and even lectures me about spending on things I don't need. He is so fun to talk to and I love the fact that God sent him to me when he did.

My middle child Peyton.......isn't really what I would call a middle child, as he was my baby 7 years before we had Carson. Peyton is very laid back, when he does get upset, he gets VERY upset. He enjoys watching his daddy tinker around, and loves to go fishing with Bryan. He really enjoys my week day off of work, he really loves that I grab him at school at regular school release time. I really enjoy being with him, he is so smart and does not even realize it!

My little Carson, has brought so much joy to all of our lives. Watching Carson's big brothers dote over him is such a blessing as a mom to watch. Carson LOVES and ADORES his big brothers!! Carson is very smart and watches everything his brothers do. Carson typically falls asleep on my or Bryans chest at night and normally ends up in our bed every night. You would think by child number 3 we would have all this figured out. We don't have it all figured out and know how fast they grow. In a blink of en eye the days of him crying to sleep with us will be over.

I LOVE these fellows! They really are easy to love, so much so that I would welcome another child into our family with open arms........

Thanks Boys (Bryan too) for keeping a smile on my face and in my heart this day!!

He is Risen!!! Easter 2014

As a child we lived in the mountains, so many many times the weather was so chilly. My mom always hid eggs for me in the house the night before Easter. I'd get up Easter morning find my Easter Bunny goodies and then start finding her eggs. The funniest part was once she got up we would start counting to see how many were left hidden.....as when I was a child they were always real eggs, we didn't have plastic eggs.

I started hiding the eggs for Landon in the house (plastic ones!!!) as soon as he was old enough to understand.......Even this year the big boys started asking me "are you going to hide eggs"

I decided since they are getting big and big fast that I would also make arrangements with the Easter Bunny to hide each of their baskets as well........

Carson's Basket ready for him to find it!

Landon's Basket hidden in the powder room corner

Peyton's basket hidden in the kitchen

First thing the boys are READY to find Eggs.........they about knocked each other down just to find them. I put candy and some $$$$$ in the eggs

Looks like Peyton located his basket!!

Carson found his too!!

Landon finally found his!

So the boys got sugared up on some candy then we headed to church. The weather was a little chilly this Easter Sunday. Church was beautiful.......44 people at our church accepted Christ between the Saturday night service and the three Sunday services.

After church we headed to Cody Creek its a restaurant and a wedding venue. The funny thing about the Cody Creek is it used to be a little water park when I was a kid and its been transformed to a neat little place.

We ended our Easter Sunday with what else but a little more Egg Hunting!

Coloring Eggs and Flash Light Easter Egg Hunt

I take an egg
All shiny white

And then I dip
It out of sight.

I leave it there
Within the cup

Then after a minute
I pick it up.

 And oh!
It's a lovely
Shade of green!

The prettiest Easter egg
I've ever seen.

Mom and Carson as "Bunnies" I have photos of all boys but I promised that photo would not end up on Facebook or our Blog

On the Saturday before Easter, I had plans to as usual color eggs with the boys, and then we were planning on also going to our church for a Easter service and Flash Light Egg Hunt.

The Egg Coloring fun ran a little over.....plus little Carson decided the "drink" the Blue Egg Dye, so we decided to attend normal Easter morning church service and go forward with our very own BLUE Egg and head to the Flash Light Egg Hunt.

Forgive me on the Bomb of Egg Decorating Photos.........

Daddy Decorates his Eggs!

Patiently Waiting
and Landon Patiently Helping!

The Boys waiting for the Flash Light Egg Hunt Instructions. The grounds were a little wet so Carson got to actually wear his little pirate rain boots out.

This Egg Hunt was different for Carson- When he and all the other children his age starting running he just kinda stopped and stared for a while.

He looks like he is thinking "why are they in such a hurry!"

Mr. Peyton is growing up!

Peyton's group is next.......this is actually the oldest age for this hunt. Makes me sad that my Peyton is getting so bid. The great thing however for the bigger boys is that I spaced Carson out so far behind them that they will have the excuse to Egg Hunt and Trick or Treat for years to come as Carson's helper.

My Sweet Peyton didn't find the "GOLD" Egg but he still gets candy!

Egg Hunting Fun!

I've always loved Egg Hunts......Carson is at that cute cute age for Egg Hunting. Bryan said that if Carson didn't figure out Egg Hunting that he would hide eggs for him in our backyard when we got back home.

I decided kinda last minute to take Carson to Clinard Farms......a very short distance from our house. I was not quite sure what to expect..... I have taken the older boys to Egg Hunts that were huge and very crowded.

I was pleasantly surprised, not too crowded and a very nice group of people organizing it.

I have given Carson instructions, he does not seam like he quite understands........but when the buzzer rings and I say GO FIND EGGS! He did just that! At his own little pace he filled his basket up with Easter Eggs!!

He had one area all to himself so he was able to take his time and enjoy his day of  finding Eggs.

Carson especially loved it when I showed him there were treats inside the Eggs.......I think that was his FAVORITE part!!

After the Egg Hunt, we tried the bounce house.......

Saw from a good distance that crazy looking Easter Bunny.......

And had fun petting and feeding the farm animals.

They also served cotton candy......Carson just rubbed it on his face, never figured out that he should eat it, which was a win win for me my child didn't get pumped up on sugar but yet I could eat the cotton candy myself:)

Carson is ready to head home and show the big brothers his special Eggs!!

When we arrived home, we all were in EGG Hunting mode. The big boys were totally game with me hiding eggs for them.

Carson gets so serious and starts opening the Eggs, I felt so bad as there were no treats in the eggs, he didn't understand that these were just our eggs and we were hiding for fun.

Peyton is helping me match up the eggs after Carson looked inside for treats.

It was a beautiful day for lots of Egg Hunting!!
